Question: Okay, finally tell me, have you ever undergone cosmetic surgery to enhance your looks?
Answer: Never. I know there have been rumours that I’ve had my teeth and jawline corrected. But they’re only rumours. Others have opted for these things, I haven’t. I’d rather not start any controversy. Implants, liposuctions and plastic surgery are a matter of personal choice. I can’t comment on what others do. As for me, I’ve only got my enamel bleached. It’s as simple as getting your teeth cleaned by a dentist.
See, I’ve never had a pearly white set of teeth. I suffered from a calcium deficiency, which made my teeth look a little stained. So I needed to get them cleaned. I felt my teeth were too big and wanted them corrected. I told the dentist that my face was lopsided and that I had a strange smile. He assured me that my teeth were just fine. According to him, my large teeth broke the symmetry of my mouth and gave my face an interesting dimension. So if my doctor is happy, who am I to complain?”

Rock star Axl Rose was the target of astonishingly harsh criticism this week for the outcome of his reputed plastic surgery a couple years ago. His critics, it seems, want their image of him to remain frozen in the past.
In Monday’s repeat of an earlier recording of a CNN “Showbiz Tonight” segment, editor David Caplan of People magazine called Rose “one of the worst Hollywood plastic-surgery offenders.”

The lead singer of the 1980s group Guns N’ Roses, Rose disappeared from the spotlight for a while, then reappeared in 2006.

“It looked like he had had a chemical peel, that he had cheek implants. His whole face looked completely restructured,” Caplan said. “Axl Rose used to be this really studly, hunky guy. But when he reemerged, he looked so artificial, so plastic it was scary, almost, for people to look at him.”

Celebrity watcher Molly Goodson of PopSugar said, “I was incredibly shocked to see Axl Rose when he came out of the woodwork … with his corn rows and his whole new appearance. I think a lot of his fans were shocked.”

Host A.J. Hammer added, “If you are hoping to get an admission out of Axl, it’s not going to happen. He’s never said a word about his transformation.”

So it seems more than likely that the latest supermodel to grace the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, Bar Refaeli, has spent her share of time under the knife.
At 23-years old, Bar Refaeli has been modeling practically since birth, appearing on commercials as an infant. Since then, Bar has gained worldwide fame outside her native Israel and has most recently been romantically linked to actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

Bar clearly works hard on her body, and is often photographed in beachwear both on and off work. But Make Me Heal can’t help thinking that not all of her fine assets are nature made and that her large breasts are the work of a skilled plastic surgeon.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden agrees, saying that, “Bar Refaeli has an amazing body, and it does appear that she may have undergone breast enhancement by the look and voluminous shape of her bustline in the bikini photos.”

Bar’s implants are well-done, as nearly their only giveaway is their large size on her slim frame.


New York City plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer notes, “Bar Refaeli is naturally beautiful. She certainly has a great body and face. There are a few pictures of her swimming which show her left breast volume shifted upwards as compared to her right. While other pictures at the same photo shoot show the breasts at even position. This could possibly be due to the implant shifting within in its pocket. However, I see no other evidence which would suggest plastic surgery. There is no question why she is a supermodel – she is gorgeous.”

Plastic surgery amongst supermodels is common, especially nose jobs and breast implants, leading “Body Work”…Breast and Body Contouring expert Dr. John Di Saia to surmise that Bar has, “At least breast implants.”

Bar may also have had a rhinoplasty, another common plastic surgery procedure amongst supermodels.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., says, “Difficult for me to tell exactly, but I think her nasal tip looks a little smaller. It she did have one, it was conservative and it looks good.”

Although Dr. Nassif specializes in the face, he also notes Bar’s large chest, saying, “They do seem a little large to be natural.”

If Bar has gone for the nose job and breast implants, she would be in good company. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover models and Make Me Heal alum Elle MacPherson, Christie Brinkley, Marisa Miller and others have all had plastic surgery.

The 75-year-old actor tells OK! Magazine his face is untouched. "I was never lifted. I would not have a problem with the truth, but I inherited my smooth skin from my father."
The actor, who was nominated for an Oscar for "Boogie Nights," did admit that too many on-screen fisticuffs required him to get his eyes tweaked.

"In the mid '80s, after some fights in a film, I had to have my eyes done," he says. "For one, I almost went blind because I got black powder in my eye. Also I had terrible sacks under my eyes from the many fist fights. My eyes were not in form any more. I had that corrected."
