Salma Hayek understands the desire to stop the aging process, but she says beauty, as you get older, is something to be brought out and enhanced, not manufactured by a doctor.

"I believe that every woman is entitled to fight to preserve her youth," the actress, 44, tells Allure in its September issue, on newsstands Aug. 23.

Just not through plastic surgery. "It's like the uniform of a generation," she says. "And it's not necessarily beautiful. It's not wrinkled-looking, but it's not beautiful."

The Oscar nominee freely admits that she's showing signs of aging. Asked whether any part of her body looked better 10 years ago, she replies with a laugh: "My boobs. They're not bad, by the way. I'm not complaining about them."

Yet she radiates youth, partly because she's been applying "creams" her whole life, she says. This summer, she even launched a beauty line, Nuance, which in many ways is a tribute to her grandmother, who studied to be a beautician.

"She started working on my skin when I was 12 or 13," Hayek says. "I never used soap on my face. Once, she shaved our heads and put egg on it and all these things. But I have to give her credit – my hair is great."

The philosophy behind the new products, sold at CVS, is that "within you there is beauty, and you have to learn how to find it and enhance it in a natural way," Hayek adds. "One thing that is exciting about being a woman is that you can rediscover your beauty over and over and over."

A new source tells OK! magazine’s December 16 issue: “while her butt is all hers, she did have the area between her rear and her thighs [worked on], so that she has definition there without working out. She had the tip of her nose shaved off years ago, and she’s had numerous procedures done to flatten her stomach — two weeks after [giving birth] she started getting CoolSculpting to freeze the belly fat.”

There have been many rumors flying, both online and in the tabloids, about the work that Kim is supposed to have had done on herself.

Of course, it isn’t as though certain eminent plastic surgeons have stepped forward into the spotlight to tell all of this to reporters; part of their profession is supposed to be discretion and confidentiality after all.
But most fans, or just those who accuse Kim of going under the knife, will use the tried and tested method of comparing recent photographs to one in the past to point out how she may have physically changed as evidence of surgical procedures.
Of course, it is important that you keep an open mind since if you’re sure something is there you’re going to end up seeing it even if no one else does.
First of all, the human body changes over time and even if a person is recognizable, she isn’t going to look like the same person she was even a few years ago.
So it’s important that if you’re using pictures to support claims of cosmetic enhancement that the pictures were taken so close together that any changes can’t be a result of nature.
More than that though, pictures can be deceiving for other reasons.

Cynthia Gibb has gotten a fair bit of plastic surgery through the years, but it's always been subtle and almost undetectable. From before and after plastic surgery she actually looks almost the same. Cyndi Lauper, has made it clear that she is a fan of using plastic surgery to try and turn back the clock. Cyndi has undergone many plastic surgeries and cosmetic procedures thoughout the years and while she has achieved the desired results from some, she has called the botched tummy tuck surgery she had in 2006, “the worst thing“. According to Cyndi:
“The surgeon was a diva. She left and some student sewed me up. It’s not good… I was thin for a second and then, you know, I gained back the weight again.”

South Korea is undoubtedly the fashion capital of the world. The Korean celebrities are frequent visitors to the plastic surgeons clinic and it’s all like ‘What’s the big deal?’. In a country where parents are ready to put their children under the knife for beauty enhancements, can celebrities stay away from it?

Korean singer-songwriter, actor and director, Kim Jaejoong – better known as Hero Jaejoong, has quite a few plastic surgery rumors following him around. 28 year old Jaejoong came into the limelight with Korean rock group JYJ and was one of the original members of boy band TVSQ. He is also popular by his stage names Youngwoong Jaejoong or simply Jejung. Jaejoong has also proven his talent in acting through several dramas like Sunao ni Narenakute, Protect the Boss and Dr. Jin. He also starred in movies like Heaven’s Postman and Jackal is Coming. Jaejoong has also served as the executive director of JYJ’s 2011 Worldwide Tour and the 2011 LG Whisen Rhythmic All Stars.

Most of the plastic surgery rumors related to Jaejoong us centered on his nose. The singer has admitted to be shy about the appearance of his nose – but that was before the magical transformation. The debate has been intense with one group of fans ready to accept that their idol has indeed gone under the knife, while another faction denies it outright. When the star was directly questioned on this issue, he famously said; “That’s a secret.All my fans know the truth behind that, but if you don’t, let’s just skip the question.” Smart!

The answer is… we don’t know!

The debate among fans rages between “of course he did, just look at him!” to “You’re ridiculous, he would never!”

When the question was put to Kim Jaejoong and he was asked out right whether or not he’d changed his looks with the help of a scalpel, he was as at least as evasive as American actors and actresses, like the famed Lady Gaga plastic surgery speculations.

“That’s a secret,” Hero Jaejoong was quoted as saying, smiling at the interviewer when he gave his answer to the question of if he’d had plastic surgery. “All my fans know the truth behind that, but if you don’t, let’s just skip the question.”

However, when Jaejoong gave that answer he did elaborate, saying that he’d always been unsatisfied with his nose and that he personally felt it was a little flat. Hardly a ringing endorsement or denial of celebrity plastic surgery, but the K-pop scene has interpreted these vague statements both one way and the other.

Perhaps the oldest, most tried and true method when it comes to detecting plastic surgery in any country is to examine pictures of the celebrity in question before and after the dates of the supposed cosmetic procedures.

However, when it comes to whether or not Jaejoong has gotten a rhinoplasty, even a minor one, the jury’s still out on the results of his photos. The doesn’t appear to be much of a change, but that has lead those that believe the star’s gotten surgery to claim he had a very talented surgeon and it’s lead those on the other end of the spectrum to say that the pictures show he never had any work done in the first place.

And as has been shown in interviews, Jaejoong just isn’t telling us his secret.

This rumor was spreading because  formerly Jaejoong ha big piggy nose but now along with his popularity his nose looks thinner on the bridge and sharper on the tip.

As commonly Korean boy, Jaejoong has narrowed eyes and it can be proved with the picture when he was still kids (you can find them a lot in internet). But now he has bigger eyes with more wider eyelid indicated that she has done double eyelid surgery. When confirmed about this rumor, Jaejoong laugh of it and denies. He said that he has good genes  from his parents that make him good looking and cute just like now.

No matter how hard Jaejoong denies plastic surgery and said he just blessed with good genes is bit difficult to be accepted. Korean idol mostly enhance their good looking appearance with the plastic surgery, and not impossible that Jaejoong has done the same thing here. Jersey Shore Girls: Did JWOWW and Sammi Get New Plastic Surgery?

So there we were last night being our hyper-observant, multitasking, no life selves, watching Jersey Shore, the Jersey Shore Aftershow and reading the Twitter streams of the entire cast.  No big right?  But then, our plastic surgery synapses began firing smoethin' fierce and we had to do a couple double takes.

Let's start with JWOWW.  JWOWW has obviously had plastic surgery on her breasts and she has been very upfront about it.  But if you remember, recently we began questioning the integrity of her lips (see the very end of THIS post we did ), because it looked like she had a plumper pout during a recent media appearance.

Well, yesterday, on the Jersey Shore Aftershow, JWOWW and her lips walked out and our eyes popped out our heads.  Did she get lip injections or some other lip work done?  We're not saying she did, but.........

Draw your own conclusions.  (We see what you did there Jenni).

Ok, lets move on to Sammi.   This one is a little more complex so pay attention PATsy Nation.  Recently, a Jersey Shore daily clip was released with Sammi talking to Snooki about getting breast implants or a lift (P.S. she also dissed JWOWW's work in the process, mhmmm).  Observe Exhibit A (which took place in the Summer of 2010):

Reports are coming out that the famed Jersey gambling spot will be running a player’s card (the cards they give you to keep track of your playing time) contest in which the top prize is $25,000 worth of plastic surgery. According to Kathleen McSweeney, senior VP of marketing for Trump Entertainment Resorts, “We wanted to change the face of a typical casino promotion, and with this one we are literally doing it,”. What a whitty press release (*stares blankly, shakes head in dissaproval*). The promotion, which also allows the lucky player to except his or her winnings as just cash (so the promotion is basically just them giving away the money and suggesting that the winner get some work done), should draw some new blood into the casino. Who knows, maybe some of the Real Housewives of New Jersey will show up:

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Brian Austin Green has a naturally rugged look and it does not appear that he has had any cosmetic treatments or surgery.”

Brian Austin Green was rumored to have undergone plastic surgery when he began dating Megan Fox, around 2006, but he likely just started taking better care of himself, to impress his younger wife.

According to People, Brian Austin Green credits the birth of Reese Witherspoon's son for their moment of privacy. Apparently, the attention was focused on the news that Reese was rushed to the hospital, offering Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green plenty of privacy to arrive to the hospital and keep the news all to themselves. The former Beverly Hills 90210 actor said that:

“I’ve been wanting to send Reese Witherspoon flowers for, like, a month and a half now, ’cause she actually gave birth [the same day as] us in Santa Monica. We were lucky enough to go in at 2:30 in the morning to the hospital and nobody knew.”

Apparently, the fact that they managed to welcome their son without the news hitting the newsstands was a surprise even for the couple as Brian Austin confessed that:

“We got out of the hospital and nobody knew. We got home and thought, ‘This is unbelievable.’ We weren’t expecting to be able to get away with it. We were expecting all the [paparazzi] guys in the hallways and the parking structure. So we just figured we would go with it as long as we could.”

And they managed to go with it for three long weeks, until E!News found out, so the couple decided to make the announcement themselves via Facebook.
Brian Austin Green is not a novice when it comes to fatherhood as the actor has a 10 year old son from a previous relationship, but it seems that his experience doesn't make having a newborn easier as the actor confessed that:

“I really felt young for my age until my new son was born. I’ve never felt so 40 in my life (joking). He’s really good ; he sleeps but it’s only in three hour increments. You get about three hours and then he’ll fuss about something. First you spend 10 minutes figuring out where you are, then you realize, ‘I’m home and it’s my child.’ Then you figure out what’s wrong — a diaper or hungry.”

Megan Fox has yet to share her take on motherhood, but the 'Transformers' hottie has expressed the fact that she's always been maternal in an interview previous to the breaking-news of her pregnancy, leaving us to assume she's doing her best.

By now you may have seen photos of Sammy Sosa with his altered skin color. The photos above are taken 6 months apart, with the first photo being the most recent. What is he doing to his skin?
According to a source he has been doing a “rejuvenation process” on his skin and was “surprised” it came out so light. It appears that he has had one (or both) of two things: he has been using skin lighteners like hydroquinone and/or he has undergone aggressive chemical peels or laser treatments. Both the lightener creams and peels/lasers can create changes in the melanin of the skin resulting in a lighter color. In caucasians this is usually modest, however in people with darker skin (like Sammy) it can be pretty startling. With time his skin may recover some of the lost color. However, if he has had a major invasive treatment, it may not.

Baseball legend Sammy Sosa’s ever changing appearance has led to frequent rumors of plastic surgery, rumors that have followed into retirement.

43-year old Sammy Sosa has been rumored to have Vitiligo, a skin condition in which there is a loss of color in the skin ever since his skin began becoming lighter and changing his appearance. Sammy is currently lighter than ever, which he has attributed to being the result of using a cream.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Sammy denies having vitiligo, a skin condition that lightens the pigment of skin, but he did confirm the use of a face cream and he would not provide the name. That “cream” seems to have had a very strong bleaching effect.”

Sammy’s appearance is so changed that some fans have suspected the legendary ball player of having had plastic surgery, although it seems unlikely and his color change is the reason he looks different than fans remember him from his playing days.

One can’t help but do a double-take when looking at former Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa these days.  That’s because his skin has transformed from a coffee-brown complexion to one more akin to coffee with heavy cream.  Former Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis, who talks frequently with Sosa, told the Tribune’s Fred Mitchell that people are making far too big of a deal out of Sosa’s new appearance,

"He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin," Polihronis said. "Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting.

"He is in the middle of doing a cleansing process to his skin. The picture is deceiving. He said, 'If you saw me in person, you would be surprised. When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture.'

"People who saw him in person did not react the same way. He can't believe it is such a big deal."

The reason it’s such a big deal is because, well, we know historically darker skin often has been deemed more of an albatross than an asset. I would like to say we’ve moved away from that unfortunate type of thinking. But it’s still prevalent in far too many circles. Having light skin falls into the same camp as having “good hair.”  I would like to say we’ve moved  away from that, too. But if you’ve seen entertainer Chris Rock’s new documentary/movie, “Good Hair,” you know that’s not necessarily the case.

The reason Sammy Sosa is in the spotlight is because he appears to be yet another brown person unhappy in his skin.  He says that’s not true. But in the photos, Sosa’s eyes appear lighter and his hair straighter.  It does make you wonder….

In Brazil and Japan, skin lightening creams are a big business. 

This all reminds  me of  Rev. Joseph Lowery’s inauguration benediction when he said “Lord… we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around, yellow will be mellow … “

Did Bret Michaels’ Ex-Fiancee Kristi Gibson Have Plastic Surgery?

Poison rocker Bret Michaels plastic surgery famously revealed he didn’t really need to find love after a couple of seasons of his reality dating show didn’t find him a soulmate. Instead, he turned to the mother of his children, Kristi Gibson, for a life partner. Alas that has reportedly come to an end even before it started—but the couple did have plastic surgery, if nothing else, in common.

When you have a bandana permanently attached to your head and you also have your own reality dating show where you’re the prize, plastic surgery probably isn’t something you’re worried will make you look stupid. So is that what Bret Michaels did? Rumors abound that the Poison front man and reality star had surgery to make his stomach look more defined (either liposuction, or abdominal etching, where the muscles are sculpted to look more defined than they are. The next question is has Brett Michaels had plastic surgery on his face? The short answer is yes. He’s either had a facelift, or possible fat injections at various spots (brow, cheeks etc.), and to be honest, this rumor seems true, as Bret looks very different, and sort of swollen when compared to his younger days. Brett was also in a pretty bad car accident many years ago so that also could have been when he had his first cosmetic procedures.  However, his stomach seems to be natural. It looks more like he takes care of himself and eats healthy (being a diabetic, he has to), than that he had any surgery. So as with many stars, Bret Michaels probably had plastic surgery, just not as much as you’d think.

Kristi Gibson and 49-year old Bret Michaels have had an on again off again relationship for 16 years. But after two kids, they were finally going to tie the knot. Now it seems that the engagement has been called off, but not before the two had plastic surgery.

Bret famously revealed his hair extensions under his signature bandana and he is also suspected of having had Botox injections and liposuction as well (See Make Me Heal’s story on Bret Michael’s plastic surgery).

For her part, Kristi looks like she would have easily fit in with the girls on The Rock of Love Bus, with her obviously oversized breast implants and she likely also overdoes Botox, given her super smooth and shiny complexion and possible Juvederm injections in the lips.

And it is due to a car accident Bret had in 1994, he was seriously injured, including fractures on her face, after which he got his nose and jawline done to reduce the fractures.  Many people speculates that he has some huge scar on his forehead and that’s why he almost always appears publicly with his bandanna, but we found some pictures without it and we couldn’t see any scar, it could be cover with make up or he just doesn’t have any, anyhow he was using those bandanas for a long time before the accident.  The other reason they say he uses it is because he wears a wig.

We see that his lips look thinner than before, but we don’t think he did anything in purpose for them to change, it can be a normal aging process in some people and it could be affected by his accident and the plastic surgery that he got after it.  That’s what we see for the moment on him, maybe he will start getting botox injections as many celebrities do and who knows even a face lift.
