Janice Dickinson has publicly admitted that she has had tummy tuck, breast augmentation and extensive Botox treatments.  In between getting plastic surgery, going through tummy tuck recovery and breast augmentation recovery and talking about her plastic surgery, it is hard to believe that Janice also manages to find the time to work out, but she clearly works out a lot, given the stellar muscular definition she exhibited in her nude photo posting.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, "Although she clearly works out and has good definition to her body, I definitely believe Janice Dickinson has undergone liposuction to her abdominal area due to the obvious irregularities in the skin’s contour.  The rippling around her implant is visible because she does not have much breast tissue to cover and disguise the implant.  That is why for very thin women it is strongly recommended to place the implant under the muscle for the most natural looking result."
Hopefully Janice wasn’t going for a natural look, because she didn’t get one, although her dedication to her body is inspiring.

It has to be mentioned that Dickinson has even filmed her Botox procedure in 2006.

She revealed that she isav
happy with her results from plastic surgery, and has been quoted as saying she doesn’t he any regrets. At the same time, she also revealed that she has promised her son that she will not have any more plastic surgery.
CA plastic surgeon Dr. Marcel Daniels feels that the concept of excessive Botox treatment is somewhat meaningless as maintenance over a period of time does require return visits to the plastic surgeon.
Dr. Daniels noted that "Janice Dickinson looks like an older version of herself, which is appropriate, he feels that she looks great."

Dr. Michael Salzhauer says "There are many patients that decide to go ahead with additional cosmetic surgeries, but it is important to not overdo it.  Janice Dickinson does appear a bit overdone with her very plump lips and very large implants.  Some people want this look, but a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon will often advise towards a more natural look."
Janice Dickinson has admittedly spent around $100,000 on plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures. To date, Janice has had the following procedures: Tummy tuck, breast implants, lip implants, cheek implants, neck lift, face lift, breast lift, liposuction, upper & lower eyelid surgeries, injectable fillers (such as collagen), botox and veneers.

If it can be sucked, tucked, implanted or injected, Janice has probably had it done! In Janice’s own words:

"Believe me, I’m a 900-year-old dinosaur and without 14 inches of make-up and 32 pounds of fake weave I wouldn’t look the way I do. I want to be the best-looking corpse there is…I’m honest about it; I haven’t got a problem with it. I borrow bits from everyone. Every six months I fly to Dallas to get Botox and I also get collagen injections…I’m addicted to cosmetic surgery."
Janice has even gone to Dr Drew Pinsky's reality show "Celebrity Rehab" to beat her plastic surgery addiction.

On the other hand, Janice-despite her previous statement-  denies that she is a plastic surgery addict and claims: "Surgery is good for you"  She is quick to reassure viewers that she can still form facial expressions and is seen pulling a contorted face to the camera saying: "See everybody? I can still move my face!"
She openly discusses her experiences with plastic surgery in her book, "Everything About Me is Fake – And I’m Perfect."
Throughout her book, the theme of feelings of inadequacy directly relate to her need for plastic surgery.

But is Janice Dickinson happy with all of her plastic surgery? While she says she is pleased, she still does not feel perfect; her statement is in direct conflict with the title of her book. Perhaps, it is meant to be.

The first time Janice has gone under the knife was at 31 years of age. The 50-something celebrity of today has had many cosmetic surgeries as previously said.
To be more exact, to improve the appearance of her upper and lower eyelids, Janice has had a blepharoplasty.
But what blepharoplasty actually does?
This procedure removes fatty deposits on the upper eyelids and removes fine wrinkles on the lower eyelids.

Judging from the before and after pictures, she certainly looks more rested and alert. Many would agree this is definitely not an example of the worst plastic surgery and produced results similar to the subtle effects of Michelle Pfeiffer’s plastic surgery.

In comparison to Goldie Hawn plastic surgery, the results have not been too natural looking. When looking at the face of Janice Dickinson, there is somewhat of that feared alien look.
Do you think that Janice has plastic surgery addiction?

Joan Collins, 79, has been the spokesperson for an  anti-aging cream, called "Cellex-C Age-less 15 Skin Signaling Serum". According to reports, Joan has been less than nice when discussing plastic surgery:
The "Dynasty" star denied having plastic surgery, claiming lipstick was her secret weapon in the fight against aging. Collins was quoted as saying: "The most glamorous thing you can do is use lipstick."Joan, who in 2007 revealed her top tips for staying young in her book "The Art Of Living Well" - has previously made her beleif on plastic surgery perfectly clear and recently described Botox as "poison". Joan revealed: "Everyone should do what they want. If they want lips like a trout let them. Plastic surgery is the plain women’s revenge."
But according to Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer   "Joan Collins appears (emphasis added) to have stayed so "fresh- faced" looking through multiple cosmetic procedures such as a facelift, browlift and eyelid surgeries."

And Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, stated: "Joan Collins appears to have had a facelift, browlift, Botox, facial fillers, and possibly a rhinoplasty at some point in her life. Her work appears overdone, and she would not benefit from having any additional procedures at this time."

Joan Collins doesn’t openly admit whether she has had plastic surgery or not.

Comparing her photos from the peak of her career to her most recent ones, it’s hard to tell.

As for how Collins keeps her still-youthful appearance, she  claims she has had help from neither knife nor needle.

"It frightens me," the author of "Health, Youth, and Happiness: My Secrets" and "The Art of Living Well" tells of plastic surgery.

"Botox, I think, is poison, I would never put it into my face, and I'm needle-phobic. I spend a lot of time keeping my face out of the sun and taking care of my skin and wearing makeup."
It seems that Joan Collins has changed her opinion, considering the fact that in a recent statement in 2012 has openly admitted to having Botox.

Collins revealed that she tried the anti-ageing treatment once in an interview with "Glamour magazine".

Collins opened up: "I had it once on my forehead and it hurt like hell."

Despite dabbling with the cosmetic treatment, Collins says she won't be investing in it again after hearing various terrifying stories.

Collins continued: "I have girlfriends who've had Botox and been left with lumps in their faces. And the lips, don't even get me started."

Joan also said she was not offended that many people speculate she has had plastic surgery procedures, claiming: "No, no. But you know what they say about plastic surgery, don't you? It's the plain woman's revenge."

"And the truth is I've always taken very good care of my skin, and always, always worn make-up" Collins added.

Do you think that Joan had gone under the knife many times as the plastic surgeons beleive or she only had botox as she recently admitted?

Feel free to comment and share this blog post if you find it interesting!

Joan Jett, 54, is an 80’s rock icon that has retained her  signature black locks and her youthful appearance. So, many people wonder: "How cool would Joan Jett be without plastic surgery?"
Joan may have succumbed to the Hollywood pressure to be forever young and gone under the surgeon's knife for a nose job (rhinoplasty) or two that has left her with an unusually shaped nose.
Joan Jett is rumored to have had some facial surgery.  She’s said to have had nose surgery several times, cheek implants, veneers and may also have had a face lift and botox. She’s never had any weight gain problems (she's a hardcore vegan!) so she won’t need a tummy tuck, liposuction or gastric band.

The question is: "What plastic surgeon experts reveal about Joan Jett's plastic surgery?"

OcBody Plastic Surgeon Dr John Di Saia claims: "Joan looks like she’s had her nose done at least a few times. She looks like she has some normal aging changes to her face so she’s likely not had much more done there.."

According to Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California:  " Joan Jett has surely had a rhinoplasty. Her tip is much more defined than it once was, and the bridge is slightly narrower.  She may have had a facelift at some point, which is evident when she smiles. Facial fillers are not out of the question either, and it is likely she has had some Botox in the forehead as well."

Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer states: "Joan Jett does not look like she has gone through any major transforming plastic surgery.  She does look like she would benefit from a lower skin only blepharoplasty and Botox Cosmetic to her crow’s feet."

In addition to a possible nose job, Joan may also use Botox to keep wrinkles away.

Plastic surgeon Dr Sherrell J Aston is quoted as saying:  "In my opinion it appears that Ms. Jett has had Botox treatments to her brow area. I think that she looks great and is aging well."

It has to be noted that plastic surgeons advise Joan (if she wants to further enhance her youthful appearance) to think about a touch more Botox in her crow’s feet region and a lower eyelid surgery.

Conclusion: Joan Jett looks very good for her age and more "natural" than a lot of other celebrities who have had plastic surgery and now have absolutely no facial expression at all. Jett is certainly not a plastic surgery addict.

What do you think of Joan Jett's plastic surgery?

"Knots Landing" actress Joan Van Ark, 69, has undoubtedly gone under the plastic surgeon's knife for numerous plastic surgical procedures. The number of plastic surgeries Joan Van Ark has underwent is unknown, but if you take a closer look at her face you can tell what sort of workshe has had...

To be more specific, judging by the before and after images, which have widely circulated on the web, Joan has obviously gone overboard with plastic surgery. Her leather-like skin prooves she's had multiple facelifts while her slightly smaller nose suggests a rhinoplasty. Her lips are fuller than they were during her "Knots Landing" days, which indicates she's used collagen injections. In addition, she has likely had cheek implants because her cheeks are clearly fuller. Finally, it is more than apparent she's had excessive botox injections. For her age Joan has very few wrinkles around her face.
In many interviews she was often asked if she has gone under the plastic surgeon's knife, but despite the countless questions she has received, Joan has somehow avoided the subject. Joan has not made a single statement about the plastic surgeries she has obviously succumbed.
The ironic thing is that Joan Van Ark has appeared in an episode of the plastic surgery based drama "Nip/Tuck". Needless to say that many people estimated this was her way to tell the world discretly about her plastic surgeries...
Just in case you are curious about what plastic surgeon experts beleive about Joan Van Ark's plastic surgery, check out below...

On his blog, celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn claims: "I've had some readers ask me what is going on with Joan Van Ark's face. Hmm…maybe some plastic surgery?"
"She's such a pretty woman so it's a shame she may have altered her looks considerably with plastic surgery. In my opinion, she appears to have had a browlift and upper blepharoplasty, creating the "hollowed out" appearance to her upper eyes. Her nose looks thinner and shorter, possibly from a rhinoplasty. Her lips also appear augmented, likely from Restylane. In addition, her neckline is almost impossibly sharp for a 64 year old, and can be the result of a facelift. Her cheeks are somewhat puffy, possibly due to facial fat grafting. Finally, her skin has a smooth, waxy sheen. This can be caused by a combination of Botox (forehead), Juvederm (frown lines) and chemical peels or laser treatments," Dr. Youn explains.
"While I think that some of these (possible) procedures work for her (facelift, injectable fillers), others have not improved her appearance at all (rhinoplasty, lip augmentation). Maybe she should take some advice from her contemporary Joan Collins and not have any plastic surgery at all! "

Conclusion: You don't have to be a genius to understand that Joan Van Ark has a scary appearance because of her multiple plastic surgeries (facelift, nose job and brow lift) and heavy makeup. In an effort to fight the hands of time, Joan is a tragic case of celebrity plastic surgery gone wrong.

Angelina has told a British paper, “I haven’t had anything done and I don’t think I will.” Then she went on to clarify, “But if it makes somebody happy then that’s up to them. I’m not in somebody else’s skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves. But I don’t plan to do it to myself.”
But we don’t think so!

After checking out some before and after pictures, we’re wondering if Angelina didn’t mean “I don’t plan to do it to myself…AGAIN!” She’s definitely had some sort of work done and if pictures are worth anything, we’d guess a chin implant and a small bit of rhinoplasty.
Angelina has always been a beautiful woman, but even with a significant amount of weight loss in recent years, she has changed rather noticeably over the years. For example, in a profile picture, it’s clear that Angelina had a weak chin when she was younger. The weak chin is no more, however, in more current pictures.

Often patients of surgery opt to have a chin enlarged slightly though chin implants to better balance the nose and improve a profile. This appears to be the case for Angelina since she is also sporting a nose that is slightly narrower across the nostrils. The change may not be dramatic, but Angelina demonstrates what we’d all like to see from facial plastic surgery – she has her original looks, but her beauty is amplified.

There is also some talk about Angelina’s breasts and how much of her bust is natural. It’s certainly hard to tell as she’s had multiple pregnancies, but watching her chest over the last decade indicates that there might be a bit of extra embellishment there as well. Angelina may think she’s fooling us, but we’ll just say – she looks great!

Angelina Jolie Claims She's Had No Plastic Surgery
"I haven't had anything done and I don't think I will," Angelina Jolie told the British paper. "But if it makes somebody happy then that's up to them. I'm not in somebody else's skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves. But I don't plan to do it myself."

As usual, celebrities tend to make that huge plastic surgery jump around age 17-18.  If you thought these celebrities were always perfect...think again.  Granted, Angelina Jolie still looks good early on.  But, you can really see the difference.  The Plastic surgeon made their mark...
What IS going on with Angelina Jolie's face? Actress prompts plastic surgery rumours as she jets into Venice with Brad Pitt
She is known for her flawless appearance, but Angelina Jolie was seen sporting bizarre marks on her neck while filming her latest movie in Venice.

The actress appeared to have developed two large tucks of skin underneath her right ear. The skin also appeared red and sore.

These latest pictures will fuel speculation that the 34-year-old may have had a 'ribbon lift'- the latest Hollywood plastic surgery craze.

The £4,000 procedure is thought to be behind Superstar Madonna's wrinkle-free skin.
It involves having a small cut made near the earlobe so a thread of absorbable ribbon can be implanted.

The procedure heals within 12 weeks and makes the skin of the neck appear tighter.

Plastic surgeon Abel Mounir told The People: 'It looks as though she's received the ribbon treatment from the gathering of skin just below her earlobe.

'But the picture makes it look as though the fixed mechanism of the ribbon has snapped, resulting in the U-shaped indent under the skin.

Reconciled: Angelina with her formerly estranged father Jon Voight in Venice.
'Even if she has not had the ribbon facelift specifically, it appears she has definitely had some minimal invasive surgery done.'

An onlooker in Venice said: 'She looked very, very odd.

'She is usually flawless but the marks are very peculiar. The two prongs of skin have been stretched off her face towards her neck.
'She certainly looks like she's feeling the strain over something.'

Jolie has always denied going under the knife.

After giving birth to her 19-month-old twins with partner Brad Pitt the actress even opted for a 'natural' photo shoot, shunning airbrushing and make-up.

The Oscar-winning actress arrived in Venice last week. She and Pitt, 46, arrived at Marco Polo Airport in a private plane along with the actress's father Jon Voight. It was the first time she had seen Voight in over eight years after a long-running feud.

The couple are staying in a 15th-century palazzo with their six children: daughter Shiloh, three, 19-month-old twins Knox and Vivienne and adopted Maddox, eight, Pax, six, and five-year-old Zahara.

The pair needed two speedboats to get their brood and all of their luggage to their accommodation.

Jolie and Pitt have recently threatened legal action after rumours that they are about to split.

Actress Ashley Judd, an American actress, model and philanthropist, is no stranger to the performing arts.

Growing up the daughter of Naomi Judd, and the sister of Wynona, Ashley found her niche and she’s been acting for more than 20 years.

However, whether she’s on screen in a murder mystery or on the news for global humanitarian endeavors, Judd has been famed for her natural looks that have withstood Hollywood temptations. Or at least that was true until recently, according to the Daily Mail.
When she recently appeared on a Canadian show to promote her new television show, “Missing,” Judd’s cheeks looked round and full; which was odd since her figure hasn’t gained weight or softened at all.
Ashley’s ‘Pillow Face’?

In fact she’s developed what is commonly called a “pillow face,” according to the Daily Mail, and it is often caused by celebrities that over-use facial fillers so that rather than looking young and healthy they develop a roundness of face that’s exaggerated and in some cases comical.
Leah Miller, it has to be said, has adopted a similar look.  Whether it’s an example of the worst surgery is a matter of debate.

And it appears that Ashley Judd’s face, once slender and naturally beautiful, has been over-sculpted.  Other stars such as Jane Fonda, for example, have faired considerably better.

The change has most definitely been noticed by fans and viewers of the Daily Mail’s story alike, with the comments section full of bewildered people wondering what’s happened to one of their favorite actress’s face.

In her 40s, it appears at a glance that Judd fell victim to trying to reclaim her youth.

But as many other actresses in Hollywood have opined, what’s wrong with becoming an older version of the attractive person that you already were? Meryl Streep has very firmly come out and stated this view.
The response of course might be that it limits your career and makes it harder to maintain star power in the face of the coming generation.

Or it might be that some people would prefer to remain younger and healthier looking… and sometimes the celebrity surgery just doesn’t pan out.
Ashley Judd Before & After Pictures.
Hey, Ashley Judd: I’m Puffy From Cosmetic Surgery And Proud of It
Like Ashley Judd, I have puffy cheeks this week. Unlike Ashley Judd, my cheeks are puffy from a cosmetic procedure, and I don’t care who knows it, or what people think about my decision. Cher said it best: “If I want to put tits on my back, it’s nobody’s business but my own.”
puffy-face-marshall
Judd is angry that people think she had work done when she didn’t, and I get it. The fact that she should be subjected to such scrutiny over a barely perceptible physical change is an absurd waste of media ink. And it’s symptomatic of the unfair way women and girls are objectified in our culture. But what I don’t understand is, so what if she did?

I don’t see any shame in taking advantage of all that science and medicine have to offer to make a few improvements. The results help me look and feel good about myself, and I think that’s healthy. Research has shown that cosmetic procedures can enhance self-esteem. In the November 2010 issue of Dermatologic Surgery, a prominent peer-reviewed dermatology journal, Chicago facial plastic surgeon Steven Dayan did a survey of more than 100 participates, who filled out questionnaires before and after injections. He demonstrated statistically significant increases in perception of overall quality of life and self-esteem among participants treated with Botox—proof that even subtle improvements in appearance can contribute to a greater sense of well-being.

My first encounter with a cosmetic surgeon took place three-and-a half years ago, at the age of 42. For a long time, I’d been unhappy with my neck, which was slackening with age. I was deeply jealous of Gwyneth Patrow’s angular jawline, and Ashley Judd’s, too, come to think of it. I tried face creams, but they did nothing. I tried to hide my wattle with scarves, but I wasn’t fooling anyone. An unfortunate side view from a holiday snapshot put me over the edge, and I finally got up the nerve to do something about it. After doing a little research, I decided to have liposuction on my neck.

It changed my life. I stopped wearing turtlenecks in the summer, and posed proudly for pictures in profile, thrilled that I no longer had to hide my wobbly turkey neck.

My success got me very interested in the topic, and, as a journalist, I began talking to plastic surgeons and dermatologists, learning more about what can be done, surgically and non-surgically, to subtly improve all those little flaws that most of us, if we are totally honest, obsess over. I ended up co-writing a book with a leading Park Avenue dermatologist. Along the way, I tried Botox, filler, and Thermage, which uses radiofrequency energy to heat below the dermis and tighten the skin.

Friends thought I’d lost it when I had liposuction again, this time on my thick ankles, or “cankles,” last year. It had long bothered me that I couldn’t tell where my calves ended and my ankles began. While I recognize that peg legs are not exactly tragic, when a top surgeon told me he could fix them, I jumped at the chance to finally look good in a pair of strappy sandals. Again, I’ve never looked back.

Ashley Judd is annoyed that people are always questioning whether or not she has had work done, but is that really such a terrible accusation? She herself says people speculate that she has had cosmetic surgery because she looks so youthful and wrinkle-free. I’d take it as a compliment, albeit a clumsy one. When people accuse me of having an aging portrait in a closet somewhere like Dorian Gray, I’m thrilled. It means I must be doing something right.
This week, I tried a new, minimally invasive procedure called Evolastin. This wrinkle-fighting technology uses radiofrequency energy delivered via hundreds of tiny insulated needles, bypassing the skin’s surface and targeting the heat directly where it’s needed to produce the most collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid the three key ingredients for youthful skin. Over the next six months, I am told, I can look forward to overall improvement in volume, skin tone, and elasticity. I’ll be studying the mirror closely for signs.

In the meantime, yes, I look like a freak show. The lower half of my face is covered in tiny pin pricks the needles went in a total of 700 times on each side of my face. I had saline mixed with Lidocaine pumped into my face to constrict my blood vessels and numb me so I could endure the zapping. The immediate result was that I looked like Alvin the Chipmunk’s angry big sister, and I expect my fat face to last for at least a few more days.

Don’t misunderstand me. I am not rushing to try out every new procedure that’s out there. This technology only works when it’s in the most capable hands. My physician, Dr. Mitchell Chasin, was an early adopter of Evolastin, and has successfully performed more than 100 of these procedures.
For a long time, I’d been unhappy with my neck, which was slackening with age. I was deeply jealous of Gwyneth Patrow’s angular jawline, and Ashley Judd’s, too, come to think of it.
I’m also not one of these people looking to change my appearance so much as to improve on what I’ve already got. Whatever I do, it has to look natural. Clearly that’s not because I am trying to keep it a secret. I’m an open book about this because I want women, and men, to know that there are many options out there for people who want to look good, not plastic.

Not all of my friends are buying it. When I couldn’t make yoga class the other night and explained why, one girlfriend accused me of becoming addicted to cosmetic procedures. I told her that when I start looking like the Cat Lady, she can do an intervention. Another girlfriend is appalled that I am not “all natural,” and not accepting what God gave me. What’s so great about being natural? Armpit hair is natural. So is cholera. Do I have to accept that too?

Ashley Judd has a point about women being some of the worst culprits in the rush to judgment. The men in my life have been nothing but supportive. We should give each other a break and accept that what we do with our appearance is a personal choice. Instead of tearing each other down, let’s cheer each other on, whether we are movie stars or ordinary women with cankles.

Ashley, you are flawless and need no improvement, but should there ever come a day when you feel like having a little tweak, call me. I know a great doctor.
Ashley Judd Denies Plastic Surgery, Assails Critics For "Nasty, Misogynistic" Puffy Face Rumors.
Ashley Judd says medication caused her face to appear puffy lately, not plastic surgery as many assumed - and she's far from pleased that people assumed that.

The Missing star wrote in The Daily Beast:

"The Conversation about women's bodies exists largely outside of all of us, while it is also directed at (and marketed to) us, and used to define and control us."
"The Conversation about women happens everywhere. We are described and detailed, our faces and bodies analyzed and picked apart, our worth ascertained and ascribed based on the reduction of personhood to simple physical objectification."

Judd continues to explain that as a general rule, she has refused to read media articles related to herself, because, "I do not want to give my power, my self-esteem, or my autonomy, to any person, place, or thing outside myself."

"I thus abstain from all media about myself."

When it came to the controversy over her unusually puffy face while promoting her new series, however, the actress got wind of it - and felt that there were underlying issues critically important to her and impossible to overlook.

Judd lamented the "pointedly nasty, gendered, and misogynistic" rumors that embodies what "all girls and women in our culture endure every day."

"We are unable at times to identify ourselves as our own denigrating abusers, or as abusing other girls and women. A case in point is that this conversation was initially promulgated largely by women; a sad and disturbing fact."

"If this conversation is going to be had, I will do my part to insist that it is a feminist one, because it has been misogynistic from the start. Who makes a fantastic leap from being sick, or gaining some weight over the winter, to a conclusion of plastic surgery?"

"Our entire culture, that's who. The insanity has to stop, because as focused on me as it appears to have been, it is about all girls and women."

Ashley Judd explains puffy face after plastic surgery rumors, blames steroid usage
Ashley Judd recently explained why her face has been looking puffier than normal amid plastic surgery speculation.
Judd, 43, is currently promoting her new ABC series "Missing," which premiered on Thursday. Her face has appeared puffier and fuller than usual in recent celebrity photos. She utilized her Twitter account to explain what's really going on.
"Thanks to all asking how I've been feeling, still very sick (flu + viral infection in sinuses = wicked) but staying positive & having fun," she Tweeted.

The star's spokesperson told E! Online that rumors of plastic surgery are "unequivocally not true," and that it's all a result of her taking steroids for her illness. Judd again turned to twitter to explain the effects that the medication is having on her.

"I know, steriods r dramatic. My clothes don't fit right, hard on a girl's self esteem, so lots of positive self talk & love," she Tweeted.

Judd, who is known for films such as "Kiss the Girls" and "Double Jeopardy," also posted a message about the matter on her blog and also wrote about her busy schedule and her philanthropic work.

"During it all, I was still reeling from being sick for three weeks, having been on multiple rounds of steroids to try to address the sinus inflammation," she posted on Thursday, March 15.

In "Missing," the actress plays single mother and former CIA agent Becca Winstone, who goes to track down her teenage son who disappeared in Italy. The series was given a 10 episode order.

"It's transcendent," Judd told OnTheRedCarpet.com, regarding the series demographic. "Each episode is grounded in the emotional arc of the characters and that's what the writer's started with every time they met to write an episode - is what is happening emotionally. They never wanted to depart or stray too far from that really visceral connection with the viewers."

Judd went on to talk about the premise of the show, as well as her almost superhero character.

"There is definitely an element of wish fulfillment because every parent's nightmare is that something will happen to their child and its one of those - I wish I could stop thinking about it but I can't and if something were to happen, of course the dream is that you would be able to completely handle it," Judd told OnTheRedCarpet.com.

"That's what Becca Winstone can do, is face anything, face anyone, run, fight, use firearms, as well as be unbelievably canny," she said. "However, I fail miserably at speaking Czech while flying a helicopter."

The veteran actress has been on television before. Judd was a regular on the NBC drama "Sisters" with Sela Ward. The actress also earned an Emmy nomination for her role on the HBO film "Norma Jean & Marilyn" in 1996.

Judd is the daughter of country music singer Naomi Judd and half-sister of Wynonna Judd. She is married to wed Scottish race car driver Dario Franchitti. Judd, who has no children of her own, dedicates much of her time to women and children's causes.
Ashley Judd: I Didn’t Get Plastic Surgery.
In a heartfelt and well-researched blog post, Ashley Judd explains what made her face ‘puffy’ and bashes the press for claiming she got plastic surgery!

Ashley Judd is not a happy camper. The 43-year-old actress is furious at the press for claiming she got plastic surgery on her face, when in actuality she simply gained weight and had to take steroids because she was ill!
“When I am sick for more than a month and on medication (multiple rounds of steroids), the accusation is that because my face looks puffy,” she wrote in a post on the Daily Beast. “I have ‘clearly had work done,’ with otherwise credible reporters with great bravo ‘identifying’ precisely the procedures I allegedly have had done.”

Ashley admits she’s put on pounds, which has altered her appearance, and calls out writers for calling her rude names.

“When I have gained weight, going from my usual size two/four to a six/eight after a lazy six months of not exercising, and that weight gain shows in my face and arms, I am a ‘cow’ and a ‘pig’ and I ‘better watch out’ because my husband ‘is looking for his second wife,’” she wrote, disgusted.

We can’t say we blame her for being so upset. Wouldn’t you be mad if people you never had met made false claims about your appearance?
